- Strong skills in managing patients with various critical conditions.


Description:
The clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract.
If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be unable to work in similar roles for 6 months.
The unit provides multi-care levels for various acuities without floating between units.
The total number of beds in the unit is 10.
Patient ratios depend on the acuity level: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6, with potential for 1:3 primary care if no aide is available.
Common diagnoses include sepsis, suicide attempts, drug or alcohol withdrawal, respiratory complications, post-operative issues, and more.
Experience in titrating drips is required, including both sedation and vasopressor management.
Charge nurses manage multiple inpatient beds, ensuring care across various unit types.
Remote monitoring support is available for patients in PCU and MST.
RNs are expected to perform 12-lead EKGs and continually monitor cardiac health.
Scheduling involves 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
If low census occurs, staff may be required to rotate standby turns.
Floating to other units may occur to maintain competency in various care levels, with a two-hour notice before floating.
Scrub color requirements allow various options except camouflage.
Unit-specific orientation will be provided, along with general hospital orientation.
Charting is conducted using a specified electronic system.
