Reasonable accommodations that do not cause an undue hardship on Austin Hardware & Supply, Inc. will be considered as required by local, state, or federal law.POSITION SUMMARYWork within all the functional departments within Austin Hardware and Supply to manage the Vendor Managed Inventory program for the benefit of our customer(s). Each VMI program is different with unique requirements that must be adhered to for the positive satisfaction of our customer experience.JOB DUTIESServe as the customer’s advocate to resolve any problems with Austin Hardware service.Insure on time delivery of products.Ensure that a 98% in-stock service level exists for each account, proactively work with the VMI Team and VMI Program Inventory Manager (PIM) in reviewing the customer and Austin Hardware’s inventory positions on a daily basis and react with a sense of urgencyEnsure proper packaging is used per our agreements.Perform the physical restocking of customer’s shelves to required inventory levels.Monitor stock levels at the customer’s facility and generate replenishment orders to bring stock up to required levels.Maintain the Austin stocking area at the customer’s facility in a clean, orderly, and well labeled manner.Review and recommend to the VMI Team or the VMI PIM, changes to the customer stocking level to insure excellent service levels.Identify products or services that Austin may provide to the customer and communicate that information back to Austin sales contact.Monitor dead and obsolete inventory status communicating to VMI Team or VMI PIM.Be Austin’s on-site representative to all departments at the customer’s facility and work to suggest improvement to the VMI program with the customer and Austin management team.Travel overnight if required.Facilitate and/or conduct quarterly inventory audits in conjunction with the VMI Team or VMI PIMOther VMI related tasks as requested.MINIUM REQUIREMENTS TO HOLD THIS POSITIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
