A little taste of your day-to-day

• Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
• Providing guests with exceptional service in order to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Reviewing the menu and becoming thoroughly familiar with food and beverage items and means of preparation being offered that day, including the ingredients, preparation, sauces, spirits and garnishes as well as the wine list, what cocktails compliment which food items, and why.
• Checking with manager for assigned station. Ensuring station is properly set up and cleaned before, during, and after shift.
• Greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explaining any specials and/or restaurant/lounge promotions for guest awareness.
• Taking guests' cocktail and food orders, answering all menu questions, making helpful suggestions, and citing a favorite item.
• Presenting properly written food check to kitchen/bar, informing of particulars in the order being placed; when complete, retrieve order, confirm its accuracy, and deliver to guest along with appropriate condiments.
• Anticipating guests' needs.
• Practicing "clean as you go" techniques of service, including refolding napkins and cleaning between courses, and keeping the station clean, neat, and supplied at all times.
• Closing all guest checks in a timely manner, ensuring all checks are properly signed and printed.
• Completing assigned side work and resetting tables for the next meal function.
• Maintaining current knowledge of hotel culture, amenities and services, events in the area, points of interest, and services in the area.

What we need from you

• The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling
• A good grasp of reading, writing and basic math
• The flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol you'll need to be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language
• Great communication you'll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to

The hourly pay rate for this role is $7.50. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and many other benefits to eligible employees.
