Job Description

Responsible for coordinating projects, attending customer and vendor meetings, as well as the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery used in industries such as automotive, aircraft, medical, and bridge construction. This position involves the sale and service of cold, warm, and hot forging presses and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to machines accurately and efficiently.
• Install, assemble, and disassemble machines effectively.
• Clean parts and adjacent areas during repairs.
• Follow established tool procedures and maintain lockout/tagout locks for safety.
• Send, receive, and analyze customer interview sheets; perform thorough preventative maintenance and create reports within two weeks of service.
• Coordinate closely with the Sales Department and Office Staff on ongoing projects.
• Obtain approval from the Field Service Supervisor for all purchases.
• Suggest redesigns of accessory components and communicate with international teams upon approval.
• Ensure all necessary parts, tools, and travel arrangements are prepared before projects.
• Check and organize tools before leaving customer sites and upon returning to the shop.
• Accurately handle assembly and parts drawings, marking as needed.
• Use precise measurements while working on projects.
• Complete projects accurately and thoroughly.
• Refer to machine drawings consistently and report to the supervisor.
• Follow up with customers post-service and document results.
• Communicate effectively with customers and manage their expectations.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, motors, and blueprints.
• Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical or electrical work.
• High level of mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and low voltage systems.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Teamwork experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Bronze scraping skills.
• Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs, robotics, servo systems, CNC, welding, wiring, and cranes.

Work Environment

This role is a traveling position with travel up to about 80% of the time due to increased demand. When not traveling, you will work in a very nice temperature-controlled facility. The schedule is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. You will be provided with a laptop and desk space for in-house work and planning.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
