Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers coordinated nursing care for patients based on established standards of care and the nursing process. This position involves supervising and directing the activities of nursing staff, while coordinating care with various healthcare disciplines using critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. The RN will also provide a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

Essential Functions

• Collect and analyze relevant data pertaining to patients' health situations.
• Develop and implement care plans with appropriate interventions to achieve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate care delivery and promote a safe, healing environment.
• Evaluate patient progress towards health outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure quality care.
• Provide educational resources and health information to patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate tasks effectively and coordinate the duties of the healthcare team.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Experience in an acute care facility: Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification: Required
