Key responsibilities Compliance with all TSA, DOT and Customs regulations (US and Foreign) Preparation and execution of freight negotiations with agents, dispatchers, deugro overseas offices, etc. Coordination of transport processes with warehouses, forwarders and suppliers Organisation of inland and airfreight shipments Organisation of inland and oceanfreight shipments Taking over the entire communication with overseas Carrying out continuous training and familiarisation of new colleagues or team members Checking and approving incoming invoices, creation of billing invoices Preparation of outgoing invoices and shipping documents of all kinds Tracking and tracing of freight to destination Checking of shipping orders General dispatch processing incl. customer service Inform customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer Ensuring accurate and thorough documentation of all projects and related matters incl. filing and archiving of all important documents Skills, knowledge, and expertise High School diploma or general education degree (GED), some higher education preferred; and three to five years related experience and/or training: equivalent combination of education and experience Passing the IATA Dangerous Goods by Air, Excluding Radioactive Cat 3 will be required in order to remain in this position Understanding of TACT and IATA rules and regulations Experience in working in different time zones and different cultures Computer skills – MS Windows 7, MS Office Positive attitude and problem solving ability in a fast paced working environment Multitasking Skills – Able to handle various assignments in daily coordination with overseas offices Creative thinking and open to new ideas Excellent communication – Verbal & Written Focus – Pay attention to the customer’s needs and commit to exceeding them What makes us the ideal choice?
