Registrar Services Specialist IAgency: Texas A&M University - TexarkanaDepartment: Office Of RegistrarProposed Minimum Salary: $3,333.33 monthlyJob Location: Texarkana, TexasJob Type: StaffJob Description:Provides administrative and operational support to include updating student records, implementing customer service initiatives, athletics verification, National Student Clearinghouse verifications, and administrative duties.Salary information: The expected salary for this position is $40,000.00 annually.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for athletics verifications and certifications.Responsible for enrollment verifications and National Student Clearinghouse submissions and verifications.Process name change, address change, and other student information changes when requested.Assists with university events/ceremonies including, but not limited to, SOAR and graduation ceremonies.Ensure accuracy of data entry. Assists in auditing student records for accuracy.Responsible for administrative duties for the Registrar's Office including commencement contracts.Responsible for overseeing Incomplete Grade contracts.Process certificate of dependency requests and directory information requests to mark academic records confidential or remove the confidential status.Assists with new faculty set up and access in Banner.Evaluates work methods and makes suggestions to improve procedures and job efficiency.Assists with key Registrar functions, including student registration processing and drop/withdrawal requests.Ability to work with confidential materials and ensure that the institution is in compliance with the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).Researches and resolves complex issues, fields inquiries, and updates electronic databases.This document represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions.
