Overview Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery, in Delano, California, United States Travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC Start date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $2,617 – $2,770 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts Setting: hospital-based labor and delivery unit Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $2,617–$2,770 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts Start date: 09/14/2026 Location: Delano, CA Travel assignment in a hospital setting Responsibilities Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients in the labor and delivery setting, following the nursing process and established standards of care. Monitor and reassess patients, administer medications as ordered, and document care accurately; respond promptly to changes in patient status. Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including obstetrics, anesthesia, neonatal, and other services. Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent discretion to plan and implement patient care plans; promote patient safety and quality outcomes. Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, postpartum care, and discharge planning; provide supportive care and resource guidance as needed.
