The Willard InterContinental Washington, DC is one of the most iconic hotels in the Nation's Capital. Since 1818, the Willard InterContinental Hotel has played host to the world's social and political elite. Often referred to as the 'Residence of Presidents', The Willard has welcomed U.S. presidents, foreign dignitaries and celebrities, as well as has been the site of many historic moments in U.S. history. Located in the heart of the nation's capital on Pennsylvania Avenue, the Willard continues to be the hotel of choice for heads of state and leaders of the world's business, cultural, social and political sectors.

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

• Repairing, replacing and refurbishing items around the hotel
• Taking responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside of the hotel
• Following the preventative maintenance calendar and looking for new ways to improve our guests' experiences
• Keeping your supervisor or duty manager in the loop with supply levels
• Being ready to step up and take on extra duties when the team needs you

What we need from you:

• At least one year of maintenance or repair work under your belt
• A high school diploma or related vocational training
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, a building management program and/or any other reporting tools like HotSos, Opera and Bartech
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventative maintenance procedures
• A reasonable level of fitness you'll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot
• Great communication skills, you'll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to

The hourly pay rate for this role is $30.11. This rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington, DC. This is the starting rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may pay more or less than the posted rate, and the rate may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
