About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Resilience Officer (CRO) to lead its efforts in climate policy, commitments, and interagency initiatives. The CRO will be responsible for ensuring that climate considerations are integrated across the company's operations, capital program, and regulatory functions. This includes coordinating the implementation of climate-related initiatives, engaging in citywide climate and environmental justice efforts, and serving as the primary point of contact for climate policy and strategy with various stakeholders. The role also involves working with different bureaus to integrate climate resilience, greenhouse gas reduction, and sustainability into the company's planning and investments, as well as fostering relationships with external organizations to advance the company's climate agenda. Candidates for the CRO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience, with a minimum of 18 months in an administrative, managerial, consultative, or executive capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in climate resilience, environmental justice, and sustainability, and a proven track record of advancing equitable outcomes in these areas. The CRO will be expected to support the development of strategic initiatives related to climate adaptation, decarbonization, and energy, and to ensure that the company's policies and programs meaningfully engage with communities affected by environmental burdens and climate impacts. The role requires a strategic leader who can work closely with senior leadership, partner agencies, and external stakeholders to achieve the company's climate goals and strengthen the resilience of critical infrastructure systems.
