Travel RN - Cath Lab/EPAmerican TravelerSioux Falls, South Dakota, United StatesAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$3,547.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring SD or compact RN license and at least 2 years of cath lab experience.DetailsAcute care Level 1 trauma hospital setting in the Cardiac Cath Lab departmentUnit includes 8 fluoroscopy rooms and 2 procedural rooms, averaging 30 patients per day1:1 nurse to patient ratioDay shift with varying 10-hour schedules (0530-1600, 0630-1700, or 0730-1800)On call responsibilities include 1-2 calls per week and 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks with a 30-minute response timeMust be available to fill mandated call if not picked up by othersUses Epic EMR along with Pyxis, Philips XIM monitoring system, Xcelera, ultrasounds, Angiojets, EKOS machines, and Acist contrast injection systemRequirementsActive RN license (SD or Compact)Current BLS and ACLS certificationMinimum 2 years of cath lab experience requiredGraduation from an NLN or AACN accredited nursing program strongly preferredBSN preferred but not requiredExperience administering and monitoring conscious sedation and circulating in sterile environmentsAdditional InformationPerform cardiac catheterization lab duties including left and right heart catheterizations, PCIs, temporary and permanent pacemaker placements, ICDs, EP procedures, TEEs, cardioversions, venous ablations, and peripheral vascular angiogramsUnit-specific orientation lasts 4-6 shifts depending on experience, focusing on charting systems and physician equipment preferencesCeil blue scrubs providedAll staff must badge in and out at the facilityCandidates must disclose any previous employment with Sanford Health; those with prior employment must have an end date at least 6 months before submissionAccepts local candidates within an 80-mile radiusFirst-time travelers may be considered
