Loom Operator

Position Summary
The Loom Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring weaving looms to produce fabric that meets established quality and production standards. This role supports safe, efficient manufacturing operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor weaving looms to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.
  • Conduct routine inspections of looms and identify fabric defects or machine issues.
  • Stop machines as needed and perform basic troubleshooting or coordinate repairs.
  • Monitor filling packages and ensure proper tie-back procedures are followed.
  • Repair and restart looms following mechanical, filling, or warp stops.
  • Monitor doff lengths and stop machines at designated intervals.
  • Assist Weave Service personnel with loom doffing activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationship

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous weaving or loom operation experience required.
Working Conditions
  • Manufacturing/plant floor environment.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Collaboration
  • Regular interaction with Weave Service personnel and Loom Technicians.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None.
Compensation

Pay: $20.71 - $22.24 per hour

Work Location: On-site / In Person

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
