Inside Sales - Instrumentation & Automation

Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Reports to: Inside Sales Manager | Philadelphia, PA Quarterly bonuses - $2,000 | This may raise annual compensation $78k - $85k Are you a technically savvy sales professional who thrives on delivering exceptional customer experiences? Our client is seeking a driven Inside Sales Representative to support their growing Instrumentation and Automation division. In this role, you’ll combine technical knowledge with relationship-building skills to support customers and partner closely with outside sales teams to deliver results. Why This Role Stands Out High-impact role supporting industrial and automation solutions Collaborative team environment Opportunity to grow within a dynamic, customer-focused organization What You’ll Do Process customer orders via phone, email, and fax Provide pricing, order status updates, and product information Recommend technical specifications and solutions to meet customer needs Support outside sales representatives with timely, accurate information Build strong vendor relationships to ensure customer satisfaction Assist with light shipping/receiving or counter support where applicable Problem Resolution Act as a key liaison in resolving order and product issues Identify customer concerns and provide effective solutions Follow escalation procedures when necessary to ensure quick resolution Administrative & Transactional Excellence Enter and manage orders, quotes, returns, and credits Research product availability and coordinate replenishment Maintain accurate, organized records of all customer interactions What You Bring 4+ years of experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or fluid power products Extensive phone-based customer service experience Background in inside sales, purchasing, sourcing, or replenishment preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Clear written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset High School Diploma or GED required (additional education is a plus) Who Thrives Here Professionals who: Enjoy solving technical challenges Communicate confidently and professionally Excel in a team-focused environment Take initiative and ownership of their work Our client is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all individuals are respected and supported.
