Responsibilities will include technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and/or formal system development, testing and delivery. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment with frequent and direct interaction with various engineering disciplines and customers. Prior experience as a systems engineer or I&T with domain knowledge of ground systems, networks, and integration & test of enterprise software products is required.The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent professional experienceMinimum of 5+ years work experience in Systems Development, Engineering or Integration and TestExperience in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, or formal system development/qualification/certificationPrior experience with satellite ground systems design, development, or integration & testDemonstrated communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to prepare and present program status to management and customersAn Active Secret clearance to start (Must be a US citizen).Desired SkillsExperience working in an Agile I&T environment, including tools such as Jira and ConfluenceWorking knowledge of integration flows and test phase requirementsDemonstrated experience leading a cross-functional team in the planning and execution of a project goalExperience with enterprise Ground Product Line (GPL) products Horizon, Compass or HadesDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and coordinate other integration participants for I&T program efficiencyGenerate concise but thorough test reports purpose-built for use in V&V eventsDeliver effective customer presentations that include performance results, schedule status, and corrective action detailsActive Secret clearance or higherSupport occasional business travel (up to 25%)Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay InformationGeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States.
