As a Head Teller you'll provide guidance and direction to Tellers on branch operating procedures, ensuring compliance with bank policies and maintaining a high level of approval authority and cash limit. This role is critical in delivering quality customer service for both business and consumer banking transactions while promoting and cross-selling bank products and services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and support to Tellers on branch operating procedures.
• Maintain a higher level of approval authority and cash limit.
• Deliver exceptional customer service for various banking transactions.
• Promote and cross-sell a wide range of bank products and services.
• Process transactions for checking and savings accounts (individual and commercial), time deposits, loans, club accounts, and safe deposit boxes.
• Utilize Branch Batch Capture to scan items into the bank's mainframe.
• Maintain required records, reports, and reconciliations to ensure efficient customer service operations and compliance with audits.
• Coach and train teller staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to standards.
• Assist branch management in the coaching process and Teller referral/warm hand-off management.
• Provide feedback for Teller performance reviews and ensure Teller learning/development plans are current.
• Perform various administrative tasks, including preparing reports requested by management (e.g., Branch Control Checklist).
• Maintain branch records and files, and assist with facilities and equipment management.

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to effectively utilize a computer and other standard office equipment
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Capable of performing basic math problems
• Must maintain a friendly, courteous and professional demeanor
• Customer service and cash handling skills required
