Job Title: Operating Room / Circulate, Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU) Profession: RN Specialty: Perioperative Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4 10's Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in SSSU, PACU, Pre-operative, and Post-operative care License: RN License required Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred Must-Have: Strong skills in pre-operative, post-operative, PACU, Phase II, endoscopy, and infusion. Experience in nursing assessment, peri-operative education, and care. Ability to recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications. Description: Recruiting for an RN to start as soon as possible. Schedule is 4 - 10's with variable hours and shared on-call rotation for PACU. Minimum of two years of SSSU/PACU/Pre/Post experience required. Nursing care duties include floating to the outpatient services area. This includes day surgery, endoscopy lab, post-anesthesia care unit, and pre-operative clinic. Responsibilities involve providing conscious sedation for special procedures. Utilize nursing assessment skills for patient education and care. Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications efficiently.
