Maintenance Person

Our company is growing, and we need a maintenance professional who has the know-how to keep our facilities and equipment in top shape. You’ll conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance and come up with ideas for preventative measures we can use to maximize the life of our equipment and minimize safety risks. Responsibilities Make records of when any equipment was services and repairs were made Check the building for any damage to doors, windows, walls, and make any repairs as needed Establish and implement preventative maintenance protocols to keep equipment operations smooth and eliminate safety risks Manage other maintenance requests as required Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal performance and make any repairs Complete maintenance service requests efficiently and professionally. Diagnose and repair common issues involving: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, carpentry, locks, and general property systems. Perform preventative maintenance to help reduce larger repair issues. Prepare vacant homes for new residents, including turns, punch work, and quality checks. Conduct periodic inspections of occupied properties. Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the properties we manage. Communicate clearly with team members, vendors, and residents. Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and follow-up needs. Perform other related duties and property management support tasks as needed to contribute to team success. Qualifications Has high school diploma, GED, or equivalent Flexible availability for on-call maintenance requests on nights and weekends Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems 2+ years of maintenance experience Prior maintenance experience in residential, apartment, or property management settings preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, and general repairs. Reliable, professional, and able to work independently without being babysat. Positive attitude and team-first mindset. Ability to prioritize work, stay organized, and follow through. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Needs to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on-call maintenance emergencies.
