Manufacturing Quality Assurance Line Lead

Step onto the production floor where precision meets pace. As our Quality Assurance Line Lead, you are the guardian of product integrity at the exact point of manufacture. You’ll blend hands-on verification with data-driven insights to keep standards rock-solid and push continuous improvement forward.

Shifts & Compensation: Hiring for A, B, C, D shifts. 7am-7pm/7pm-7am. Pay range: $25-$38/hourly.

A day in the life

You start your shift on the floor, checking that standard work is being followed. When an operator flags an anomaly, you dive in—troubleshooting, confirming the issue, and guiding a quick, safe resolution. Throughout the day you sample and test in-process material, log results, and watch for any deviations. You’ll collaborate with engineering on specs, advise when tools or equipment show wear, and close the loop with the quality team.

What you’ll do

• Coach operators and helpers so standard work is consistently executed.
• Provide technical support across all operations and resolve production issues in real time.
• Act as the on-the-floor subject matter expert for quality practices.
• Select samples and test product at multiple production stages.
• Assess equipment and tooling condition; recommend maintenance or replacement.
• Perform both destructive and non-destructive tests.
• Partner with management and engineering to uphold and refine standards.
• Record test outcomes, analyze performance data, and flag deviations.
• Enter results into analysis systems with accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct and document production audits.
• Collaborate closely and report regularly to the quality team.
• Follow safety and procedural guidelines without exception.
• Execute routine tasks precisely and meet deadlines.
• Take on additional reasonable duties as assigned.

Preferred background

• 2–4 years in wire and cable or a closely related industry.
• Experience working with a variety of software systems.
• Familiarity with project management practices and Lean Manufacturing.
• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent

Work environment & physical demands

• Stand for long periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
• Walk considerable distances within the plant and between stations.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Use small tools and lab equipment with manual dexterity.
• Bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
• Work comfortably amid heat and noise.
