The Opportunity
Florida is one of the fastest growing commercial real estate markets in the country, and building owners from Miami to Orlando to Tampa are ready to move away from expensive, proprietary BAS systems. Energy IQ has spent 25 years building credibility and a track record in South Florida. Now we are taking that reputation statewide and we need a sales executive who wants to be the person who makes that happen. You will have:
- A statewide Florida territory with an established pipeline in South Florida and wide open runway in markets like Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, and beyond.
- The chance to be a founding voice in how Energy IQ grows outside of South Florida, with direct input into strategy and market approach.

What You'll Do
- Identify and develop new opportunities for BAS upgrades, controls retrofits, and energy optimization projects across commercial, hospitality, and institutional facilities.
- Lead the full sales cycle from facility walkthroughs and opportunity qualification through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Position open Niagara-based platforms as the modern alternative to proprietary legacy systems.
- Build and maintain relationships with building owners, property managers, facility directors, mechanical contractors, and consulting engineers.
- Develop strategic account plans that create long-term customer value and recurring project flow.
- Collaborate with engineering and project delivery teams to build compelling, technically sound proposals.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in CRM we run on data, not gut feel.
- Represent Energy IQ at industry events, trade associations, and networking opportunities.
What You Bring
- 3 to 7 years of proven sales experience in building automation, HVAC controls, energy solutions, or a closely related technical field.
- Track record of winning new business references who can speak to your ability to open doors and close deals.
- Familiarity with BAS platforms including Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, Honeywell, Siemens, or Automated Logic.
- Strong consultative sales skills you ask good questions, uncover real pain, and build value before talking price.
- Ability to communicate credibly with both executive-level decision makers and technical facility staff.
- Experience managing an active pipeline in a CRM; disciplined about forecasting and follow-through.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across Florida as the territory develops.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
