Full responsibilities, required qualifications, and the apply link are listed in the description below.## Resume Keywords to IncludeMake sure these keywords appear in your resume to improve ATS scoringORCompensationBenefitsComplianceDescriptionPerformEPAASTMSign up free to auto-tailor your resume with all these keywords and get a higher ATS score## Job Description### Job DescriptionPerform various microbial analyses of environmental air and water samples in accordance with standard EPA/ASTM methods and in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements and Identification and enumeration of fungal spores utilizing light microscopy.* Microbial analysis of environmental water samples.* Carry out daily/weekly laboratory housekeeping duties* Review and approve results of analysis* Generate reports of sample results and forward to relevant parties### Responsibilities* Carry out all duties in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017* Identification and enumeration of fungal spores utilizing light microscopy.* Microbial analysis of environmental water samples* Execute all standard operating procedures for the analysis of field samples.* Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on laboratory equipment.* Carry out daily/weekly laboratory housekeeping duties* Use necessary software to manage data generated from field samples.* Adhere to all established health and safety guidelines and safe laboratory practices.* Generate reports of sample results and forward to relevant parties.### Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.)* At least 3 years’ experience working in a lab environment or applicable experience from education* Light Microscopy* Basic Laboratory Safety* Aseptic Techniques* Basic Microbiology: incubation/culture methods* Proven ability to be innovative and creative.* Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.* Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must.* Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.* Availability required for up to two Saturdays monthly, abbreviated shift no longer than 1 hour, overtime includedThis is an Onsite position in our Fairfax, Virginia### What we offer* Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $63,000 to $67,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
