Our Manufacturing Engineers work with our Shop Technicians to develop and maintain the processes that safely produce our products correctly, on-time and within budget. This position works a 4 / 10 schedule with typical hours 6 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. As an Engineer at our Aberdeen facility you will be responsible for the following:Proactively maintain a safe work environmentActively participate in all audits as requiredPromote a culture of safety, quality, schedule and costTake part in quality investigations, including Root Cause Corrective ActionsWork with team members to determine and implement Corrective Action ResponsesCreate and maintain shop routingsEstablish and maintain adequate Process Verification Forms for designated work areaCreate, maintain, and improve work instructions as necessaryReview, approve and implement engineering changes to ensure proper configuration controlEnsure ongoing collaboration of best practices and strategiesLead initiatives to ensure that continuous improvement is an ongoing processIdentify and communicate training needs and skills gaps in the teamsCarry out training when necessaryProvide and/or identify mentoring and coaching opportunitiesModel appropriate behaviors that encourage effective team workRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and four (4) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent • Experience working in a manufacturing environment • Ability to work well in a team environment • Effective communication skills, written and verbal • Solid problem solving and analytical abilities Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsExperience working in a collaborative, team based environmentDefense or aerospace manufacturing environment experienceExperience with manufacturing database software such as Oracle and TIPQAKnowledge of Lean principlesHands-on floor support experience, working with shop employeesBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $79370 - $134929 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
