Job Description

This role focuses on the mechanical assembly of dental chair bases in a production environment. You will use hand and power tools, follow blueprints and diagrams, and handle materials that require frequent lifting. The position suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, pays close attention to detail, and feels comfortable working with tools, precision measuring devices, and computers.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of dental chair bases according to established procedures and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and prints to assemble components accurately.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
• Lift and move components and materials weighing up to approximately 30 pounds throughout the shift.
• Use precision measuring devices, such as calipers and pin gauges, to verify dimensions and ensure components meet specifications.
• Work extensively while standing and moving around the production area to complete assembly tasks.
• Operate and work with computers as needed for work instructions, documentation, and basic data entry related to assembly activities.
• Collaborate with assemblers and other team members to meet production goals and maintain a smooth workflow.
• Follow all safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and report any issues or defects promptly.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on assembly experience in a production or similar environment.
• Proficiency using hand and power tools in an assembly or construction setting.
• Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting of materials and components, including items up to approximately 30 pounds.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, or technical prints.
• Previous experience working with precision measuring devices such as calipers and pin gauges.
• Comfort working with computers for basic tasks such as viewing instructions and entering data.
• Ability to stand and move extensively during the workday to complete assembly tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Experience in construction or a similar trade involving regular use of power tools.
• Experience in an assembly environment where quality and precision are critical.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team and take direction from more assemblers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newberg, OR.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
