Associate CQI Director

Position Summary The Associate Director of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) supports the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the agency's continuous quality improvement, compliance, risk management, and practice-based evaluation and research initiatives. In partnership with senior leadership, this position helps ensure the organization is data-informed and committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based services. The Associate Director leads agency-wide quality improvement activities, monitors compliance and performance outcomes, and collaborates with program and operational leaders to strengthen service delivery, improve organizational effectiveness, and promote best practices. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate CQI initiatives, compliance activities, project management, risk management, and outcome data analysis, reporting, and utilization. Lead quarterly FAMSTAT meetings. Prepare quarterly reports and the Annual Outcomes Report. Analyze and assess data in relation to the completion of various funding applications and grants. Coordinate and support the development of practice-based research projects and program evaluations. Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the organization's corporate compliance program. Identify and monitor compliance vulnerability and risks and provide recommendations to minimize risks. Serve as interim HR Manager when needed. Conduct periodic risk management assessments and/or audits to identify potential problem areas and threats that could put the organization at risk for unusual liability. Report regularly to Senior Leadership and stakeholders on corporate compliance and risk management activities, results and outcomes. Coordinate and lead Families First’s COA and CARF accreditation processes. Conduct random and scheduled internal audits of key operations and report on results. Coordinate, analyze and summarize external audits; and track and report progress on proposed corrective action plans. Assist with developing the agency Strategic Plan. Consult with the corporate attorney as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues. Lead the development, documentation, monitoring, and updating of policies, procedures, and corrective action plans. Partner with Human Resources to develop staff development and training opportunities to facilitate compliance, including with ethical, professional and HIPAA laws, policies and practices. Respond to requests for case record information from clients and third-parties with proper authorization, ensuring client’s rights are maintained and agency policies are followed. Manage the CQI departmental budget, monitor expenditures, and provide budget projections and recommendations to the Director of Clinical and Family Services to ensure responsible stewardship of resources. Contribute to streamlining outcomes across programs, aligning program data collection methods and tools with CQI Plans, and aligning CQI Plans with overall agency mission/vision/impact statement. Partner with program staff in the development and updates of logic models and service evaluation plans, utilizing SMART goals and objectives. Attend applicable Board Committee meetings. Present outcomes, data, etc. as required to the Board of Directors. Facilitate the completion of PDSA cycles for outcomes that do not meet targets/goals. Ensure data is entered or received for the electronic client record/program outcome software system. Work in partnership with all programs and operational staff. Other duties as assigned. Flexible work hours, including occasional evenings or weekends to support agency events, community meetings, or program needs. Local travel required to agency sites, community partners, and funding meetings as needed. Qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Social science, evaluation, policy experience preferred. Project Management experience is a plus. Minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in continuous quality improvement, compliance, program evaluation, outcomes measurement, research, or project management. Supervisory experience preferred. Exceptional MS Office, database, and clinical record-keeping knowledge and skill. MS365, SPSS, computer programming experience a plus.
