CT Technologist

Job Title CT Technologist Employment Type & Shift Full time, Evening Shift Location Silver Spring, MD Description This position requires precise positioning techniques, accurate technical settings, and monitoring of equipment to ensure proper functioning. The technologist produces high‑quality CT exams, maintains patient care standards, and operates imaging equipment under the supervision of a radiologist. Responsibilities Produce high‑quality CT exams with optimum diagnostic quality. Maintain continuous mental focus and sterile technique during studies. Demonstrate effective collaboration aligned with Holy Cross Health's mission. Operate imaging equipment and capture designated body areas. Adhere to mission philosophy, policies, and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and standard precautions. Complete annual mandatory training, in‑services, competency documentation, and related documentation. Identify patient care needs and implement interventions for patients ranging from neonates to late adults. Participate in quality assessment and improvement programs and team/committee activities. Attend departmental staff meetings and assist in orienting new staff. Perform additional duties such as on‑call, transporting patients, cleaning rooms, stocking supplies, peer review, etc. Work across modalities and support the mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital. Qualifications Graduate of a JRC/ERT approved Radiologic Technology Program. Fluent in English. One year of CT Scan experience preferred. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Technologist (R). Licensed in the State of Maryland as a Radiographer. CPR certified by the American Heart Association. Registration as a Computed Tomography Practitioner (R) preferred. Or, Nuclear Medicinal Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification with post‑primary ARRT CT and MD state licensure. Must present documentation to practice on dedicated CT scanner and training on provision of diagnostic CT exams. Pay Pay Range: $37.18 – $55.77 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. Pay may vary within the stated range based on location.
