Child Abuse Pediatrician

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Child Abuse Pediatrician to join our team at The Children's Hospital, which is a regional tertiary center located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Saint Peter's University Hospital operates the Dorothy B. Hersh Child Protection Center (CPC), a state-designated facility that serves eight counties in central New Jersey.

Opportunity Highlights

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed medical and psychological assessments for suspected physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, as well as medical neglect

• Present on recognizing and responding to abuse for medical residents, law enforcement, school personnel, and DYFS social workers

• Provide forensic evidence documentation, case consultation to prosecutors, and serve as an expert or fact witness in court testimonies and depositions

Requirements

• Successful completion of an appropriate ACGME or AOA accredited Residency in Pediatrics and Fellowship trained in Child Abuse Pediatrics

• Board certification or eligible in Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics

• MD or DO license in the State of New Jersey

• DEA and CDS license

• Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance

Full-time clinical base compensation at Saint Peter's Healthcare System ranges from 175,000.00 - 750,000.00 USD, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
