Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Nurse in Hilo, Hawaii. This position involves providing care in a 15-bed step-down intensive care unit with telemetry monitoring. Candidates are required to bring their Hawaii license on the first day. The role entails delivering primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar assessments. The assignment begins on July 20, 2026.

Job Details:

• Location: Hilo, Hawaii
• Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours or call responsibilities.
• Required Qualifications: Hawaii license; at least 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year; telemetry experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to all acute units in house, including medical, surgical/pediatric, ICU, and emergency room units.
• Additional Information: Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday. Dress code is scrubs.
