Dispatch Coordinator

About the Role:

The Dispatch Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods within the transportation and warehousing industry. This position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling shipments, managing communication between drivers, clients, and internal teams, and resolving any logistical issues that arise during transit. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in dispatch coordination or a related role within the transportation or logistics industry.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily dispatch operations by scheduling and assigning shipments to drivers based on availability, location, and delivery requirements.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers to monitor shipment progress, address delays, and provide support as needed.
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
• Track and document shipment status, prepare reports, and update relevant systems to maintain accurate records.
• Resolve logistical issues such as route changes, vehicle breakdowns, or delivery discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout the dispatch process.
• Assist in training new dispatch staff and contribute to process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
