Veterinary Client Service Representative

ACCESS in San Fernando Valley is one of the largest multispecialty referral hospitals in Southern California. We understand a visit to the hospital is stressful for our pet parents. Our Client Care Team are the first faces of a pet’s visit, and we understand just how important this role is to the success of our hospital. How important? Let’s talk pay. Our pay ranges begin at $18 - $22 per hour depending upon existing experience. Shift Differentials Shift hours worked between 7pm-11pm = additional $2/hour Shift hours worked between 11pm-7am = additional $3/hour Any shift on Saturdays and Sundays = additional $2/hour What makes the best candidates? Have a desire to help people through what is often a stressful event in their lives Minimum two years of experience in a customer service role (prior veterinary experience preferred) Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently in a clear and audible voice Our Client Care Team consists of Client Care Representatives and Referral Coordinators. While your day‑to‑day can vary, some duties you can expect will include: Answer incoming calls, triage urgent messages, and direct calls to the appropriate department Effectively communicate and resolve client questions via phone and email Maintain an empathetic and compassionate demeanor when working with pet parents Assist referring hospitals with questions in a timely and efficient manner Maintain medical records Referral Coordinators Triage incoming requests Guide clients through check‑in, discharge, and check‑out Handle financial transactions Facilitate medication requests Effectively communicate and resolve client questions via phone and email Work closely with our medical teams to ensure a positive outcome at each visit Benefits We care about you and your family with benefits such as 100% paid parental leave (and purr‑rental leave), paid bereavement, financial planning assistance, educational opportunities, and much more!
