Newborn Hospitalist

We have an exciting opportunity for BC/BE pediatricians to work as newborn hospitalists at our busy, diverse, multispecialty neonatology practice in the North Dallas area. Our pediatricians are part of a team that includes in-house neonatologists along with our affiliated group of neonatal nurse practitioners, developmental pediatricians, cardiologists, MFMs and pediatric surgeons who provide comprehensive newborn services at multiple hospitals. Details: Provide 10-hour, in-house coverage in the newborn nursery and on call from home in the evening Responsibilities include admissions and management of infants in the newborn nursery, delivery attendance, transitional care, circumcisions and consultations with families Provide Level-I to Level-II newborn care at Methodist Richardson Medical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Rockwall Medical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Plano, and Dallas Regional Medical Center Neonatologist assistance/backup is provided as needed and in all high-risk situations Flexibility with interest in learning and a desire to teach are highly valued Opportunity to participate in education and quality improvement initiatives North Texas is one of the most famous and fastest-growing metropolitan destinations in America for its energetic lifestyle, scrumptious food, places to visit and variety of things to do.
