Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Fawcett - Tacoma, WA 98402, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: Not Specified, Salary Range: $26.10 - $51.26 Hourly, Travel Percentage: Travel within the community, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services, Full Time Monday – Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to join our Outreach team in Tacoma, WA. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, stipends and/or longevity pay. Scope: The SUDP role involves providing substance use disorder assessments, treatment planning, counseling, and case management services to individuals seeking recovery. The SUDP is responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy, and coordinating care with other professionals and agencies. This is an outreach position with the expectation of working in the community a minimum of 50% of the time. Outreach workers must be able to meet clients where they are, which may include working in varying hazard/unsanitary conditions and being able to navigate a variety of terrain in all types of weather. This position requires driving to and from locations where clients are located and may include driving clients The SUDP may also have the opportunity to supervise Substance Use Disorder Trainees (SUDTs), offering guidance and support in their professional development. The role is focused on delivering comprehensive care to individuals with substance use disorders, ensuring ethical and regulatory standards are met. Responsibilities Provide chemical dependency assessments and services for clients seeking substance use treatment.. Complete paperwork in a timely manner and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with WAC, Title XIX, and agency requirements. Attend treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and designated staff training and client consultations. Participate in SUDP consult/supervision groups to complete required supervision hours. Ensure ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained. Provide clinical case coordination within a multidisciplinary team for consumers. Deliver case management services as outlined in consumer treatment plans. Facilitate group therapy sessions based on program needs. Coordinate services with other program staff, consultants, relevant agencies, and individuals (e.g., DOC, hospitals, congregate care facilities). Perform other duties as assigned. Meets the standards as outlined in WAC and other relevant regulations. Willingness and ability to learn diagnostic skills, engagement techniques, and crisis intervention strategies through building relationships, motivational interviewing, and effective communication. Demonstrates flexibility in practice and fosters strong relationships with colleagues, contributing to effective teamwork and consultation. engages family members and natural supports in treatment planning to enhance client recovery. Receives and applies feedback, demonstrating accountability and contributing to a positive work environment. Demonstrates timely, consistent, and direct communication with team members and supervisors. Utilizes available resources effectively and applies feedback for continuous professional development. Meets productivity requirements and ensures clients are discharged with improved symptoms, as evidenced by client reports and ASAM Level of Care. Communicates with empathy, hope, and resourcefulness, supporting clients through their recovery journey. Understands and respects diverse backgrounds, demonstrating a commitment to culturally competent practice. Qualifications: Must have their SUDP Washington State credential and the ability to acquire an Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (AACR). Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
