About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Technician Profession: Surgical Technician Specialty: Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: PM (4 × 10 hr shifts) Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience within the last 3 years. Level 1 Trauma experience (at least 1 year out of the last 3). Minimum of 1 year of travel experience within the last 3 years. Must-Have: Strong proficiency in the following areas: - General Surgery - Orthopedic Surgery (total joints required) - Neurosurgery (Cranial & Spine required) - Vascular Surgery - Trauma Surgery - Robotics (DaVinci system; must perform cardiac procedures including moving arms and draping) - Transplant Surgery experience is preferred but not mandatory. Description: Candidates cannot have been previous regular employees. All shifts will be rotating, including days, evenings, and nights. Call duties and weekend work are required. Call can occur during weekdays and/or weekends. Weekend shifts may include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Within a 6-week period, candidates may have up to 3 weekend shifts on call, which may include Saturday (24 hours: 7 AM - 7 AM) or Sunday (16 hours: 7 AM - 11 PM). There may be additional night shifts planned for Friday nights. There is no block scheduling available. Call response time must be within 30 minutes. In-house call rooms are provided for staff use.
