About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS Must-Have: - Ability to read telemetries - Comfort with chest tubes Description: Care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions including COPD, CHF, diabetes, sepsis, renal failure, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, and other respiratory conditions. Provide care for neuro, surgical, and cardiac patients. Utilize BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomies, chest tubes, NG tubes, PICC lines, and central lines. Assist with ablation, catheterization lab patients, and dialysis. Familiarity with computerized charting and medication systems is required. Understand and apply clinical skills effectively. Travel RNs will work three 12-hour shifts with rotating nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel RNs must be available to float to other units as needed. Nurse to patient ratio in this unit is 3-4 patients per nurse. Dress code is scrubs of any color. This is an inpatient acute care setting.
