This is a founding-caliber engineering role for someone who doesn't just write code, but thinks in systems, products, and outcomes.

You will build core platform capabilities, ship production features, prototype rapidly, and work directly with real customer environments. Over time, this role is designed to evolve into a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) position, owning customer-facing engineering, complex integrations, and high-impact solution delivery.

What You'll Do

As a Full Stack Product Engineer on the Forward-Deployed track, you will work at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.

You will:

• Build core product features and platform capabilities
• Design and ship production-grade systems
• Rapidly prototype and deploy solutions for real customer problems
• Operate directly in customer environments as needed
• Help shape the product by translating customer reality into engineering decisions

This is not a "throw-over-the-wall" role. You own outcomes end to end.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack product features, services, and workflows used by enterprise customers.
• Design and deliver systems that are performant, reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Develop prototypes, integrations, and tooling to solve real customer problems—and harden them into the core product.
• Work hands-on with customer environments: identity providers, data sources, APIs, and access systems.
• Build and maintain custom components when needed (identity extractors, data processors, automation logic).
• Debug complex, real-world issues across distributed systems and customer deployments.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to turn requirements into shipped solutions.
• Clearly communicate technical decisions, tradeoffs, and implementation details to internal and external stakeholders.
• Gradually take on forward-deployed ownership as trust and impact are demonstrated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and systems thinking.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Go preferred).
• Ability to learn and ramp up quickly on new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies as the platform and customer needs evolve.
• Experience building full-stack or backend-heavy product systems.
• Clear evidence of high ownership and high output—projects, startups, or systems you've built and shipped.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to significantly amplify productivity (faster prototyping, debugging, documentation, testing).
• Ability to build software that holds up in enterprise environments—performant, reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

Nice to have (not required):

• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, APIs, and multi-tenant systems.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Docker and/or Kubernetes exposure.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, identity, or security concepts.
• Prior experience at an early-stage SaaS or product startup.
