Our organization is a large multispecialty group practice with over 650 providers, currently in search of a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician who is dedicated to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care within an Urgent Care (UC) environment. The clinical responsibilities will encompass the management of acute illnesses and injuries, conducting sports physicals, and addressing acute occupational medicine concerns, among other duties.
The Urgent Care Medical Director will lead the team of Urgent Care providers and will play a crucial role in overseeing operational aspects related to patient care quality, enhancing patient experiences, standardizing practices, recruiting Advanced Practice Providers for Urgent Care, conducting chart reviews, and facilitating ongoing education and training for UC providers. Additionally, this role will contribute to the strategic development of urgent care initiatives within the medical group.
This position also allows for the opportunity to lead and deliver quality care for specific acute issues through an innovative telehealth program known as MyeVisit, designed to connect with patients in their homes via smartphones, tablets, or PCs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for health-related issues and demonstrate comprehensive assessment capabilities, advanced clinical skills, problem-solving expertise, and a commitment to leadership and engagement in clinic operations while supporting a dedicated team of providers and colleagues. This role is based at our Urgent Care clinics, both on and off campus, with a total of 12 locations throughout the Boise Metro area. It is a Full-Time position, comprising 0.60 FTE for clinical duties and 0.40 FTE for administrative responsibilities. The work schedule will vary, including shifts from Monday to Sunday, with 12-hour shifts totaling 80 hours per pay period, and no on-call duties are required.
Requirements:
- Possession of a current, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in Idaho and Oregon
- Valid registration for controlled substances with the Idaho and Oregon Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- A robust medical background in urgent care or emergency room settings, along with a commitment to providing acute care and leadership to support a growing multispecialty medical group.
