Job Overview:

Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Senior Accounts Payable Processor on behalf of our client, a nonprofit healthcare organization. The Contract Senior Accounts Payable Processor will support the Accounts Payable function by processing a high volume of invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments, resolving discrepancies, reconciling vendor statements, and providing professional customer service to internal teams and external vendors.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in Accounts Payable processes. This individual must be comfortable managing a high volume of transactions, researching payment issues, working with vendors, and balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process a high volume of invoices in accordance with established accounting practices and purchasing policies.
• Enter general account and invoice information accurately into various accounting and financial systems.
• Review invoice matching for accuracy and investigate and resolve discrepancies prior to processing payments.
• Contact vendors and department heads to verify receipt of merchandise, services, or charges as needed.
• Research vendor credits, past-due invoices, statements, and payment discrepancies.
• Respond to routine vendor inquiries and follow through to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Provide Accounts Payable management with updates regarding unpaid vendor invoices and outstanding issues.
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and identify invoices more than 30 days old, reasons for non-payment, and applicable credit requests.
• Verify statement information to ensure vendor payments are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
• Audit and prepare in-house checks for distribution.
• Process voids, cancellations, and reissuances of checks and electronic payments.
• Audit and process employee expense reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to invoices, payments, reconciliations, and vendor issues.
• Provide high-quality customer service to internal employees, departments, and external vendors.
• Research and resolve Accounts Payable issues while maintaining appropriate documentation.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting established deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements Include:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Additional coursework or education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, Accounting, or a related environment required.
• Experience processing a high volume of invoices preferred.
• Experience with vendor statement reconciliation and payment research preferred.
• Experience resolving invoice discrepancies and vendor payment issues is a plus.
• Healthcare or nonprofit industry experience is beneficial but not required.

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable principles, processes, and procedures.
• Understanding of invoice processing and payment workflows.
• Knowledge of invoice matching and discrepancy resolution.
• Understanding of vendor statements, credits, past-due invoices, and payment reconciliation.
• Familiarity with check processing, electronic payments, voids, cancellations, and reissuances.
• Knowledge of employee expense report processing.
• Understanding of purchasing policies and established accounting practices.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
