A per diem retail pharmacist position is available in Apple River, IL, with coverage required in Galena, Illinois, for select dates in August and September. This role offers the opportunity to support a busy pharmacy setting by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications to customers.

Schedule & Location:• Per Diem position• Coverage Dates: August 20-21 and September 1• Shift: 1st shift• Hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm• Location: Apple River, IL (coverage in Galena, IL)• Software utilized: Pioneer

Responsibilities:• Dispense medications accurately under the supervision of the pharmacy manager.• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and regimens.• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally, following organizational guidelines.• Maintain pharmacy stock levels and control drug records, including inventories.• Resolve patient issues and assist with clarifying third-party insurance coverage questions.

Qualifications:• Active and clear pharmacist license in the state of Illinois.• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail pharmacy practice.• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.• Ability to work independently during assigned shifts.
