Infill Construction Superintendent

Job Description

MTT Homes NW seeks an experienced Superintendent to support medium scale infill and Cottage/DADU projects in the greater Seattle area.

The Superintendent is responsible for supervising the field construction of a projects and completing the work on schedule, within budget, and to maintain the quality of workmanship specified by the President of Construction. Up to 100+ infill projects per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
\n
• Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.

• Create and maintain construction schedule; identify and solve problems.
\n
• Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
\n
• Has knowledge and experience with other trades scope of work.
\n
• Can manage self-performed duties.
\n
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employers.
\n
• Update schedules and supervise completion of a final punch list/NHO.
\n
• Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately.
\n
• Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
\n
• Maintains an organized, clean job site, including the construction office.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 4-year college degree preferred but not required. Desirable study concentration in construction management. Or equivalent work experience.
\n
• One year of relevant experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of construction. Should be experienced in managing multiple projects.
\n
• Organized with a systematic approach to achieve accuracy and efficiency.
\n
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities.
\n

Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain when under development; moving through the construction site and the materials in place for use on the site; climbing ladders and temporary stairways; conducting visual inspections of quality of construction and materials being used in construction. Conduct jobsite walks to ensure successful project completion. Conduct jobsite walks to identify and eliminate safety hazards

• The salary range for this full-time role is $85-90k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note MTT Homes reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications
