About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of inpatient OR experience, level 1 trauma preferred License: Active RN license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - 2+ years of inpatient OR experience - Scrub experience required - Competent in at least 5 of the listed services - Excellent communication skills Description: This position is for a 12-hour shift with a rotating schedule. Start times are 7 am for day shift and 9 am or 11 am for evening shifts. Expected to work every third weekend as needed and every other holiday. On-call duty is required once per schedule. May float to another operating room if needed. The surgical services include general, gynecology, gastrointestinal, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastic, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine surgeries. The facility has 17 operating rooms and is staffed 24/7. A positive attitude and flexibility are essential for this role. Experience in neuro and vascular surgery is preferred.
