Locum OB/GYN coverage in Michigan with 24-hour in-house call shifts and strong overnight L&D support from midwives and PAs.

Highlights

• Three Physician Assistants and midwives available overnight
• Midwives practice independently
• No advanced practice provider supervision required
• Additional shifts anticipated

Practice Setting

• Inpatient OB/GYN coverage, including labor and delivery triage and emergency department GYN consults
• Support overnight on the L&D floor includes 3 PAs and midwives from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Midwives practice independently and contact you only if assistance is needed
• No requirement to supervise APPs

Schedule

• 24 hour call shifts, scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Primary call is in house, you must remain on the hospital floor for the full shift, call rooms available
• Secondary call may be taken from the hotel, with required hospital check in each morning at 7:00 AM
• Orientation required, 1 business day before start

Cases and Procedures

• Vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• D&C, including suction D&C
• Emergency GYN surgeries, tubal ligations, laparoscopy and laparotomy
• Reading NSTs; circumcisions preferred but not required

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Michigan license required; will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS
