Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular Lab, supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Ensures patient safety, equipment functionality, and effective communication with the medical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care within the Cardiovascular Laboratory setting, assessing patient needs before, during, and after procedures.
• Monitor and document physiologic and hemodynamic data critical to cardiac and electrophysiology procedures.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory management, and supply procurement to ensure readiness.
• Collaborate with physicians, providing continuous updates on patient condition and responding to clinical changes promptly.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities to enhance patient safety and care standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant certifications, licenses, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active state RN license and current BCLS certification.
• Possess a BSN degree (preferred) and ACLS certification maintained current at all times.
• Bring at least 4 years of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac work or in Critical Care.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data accurately and respond effectively to patient needs.
