Senior Software Development Tech Lead - NVLink FW and NVOS

NVIDIA NVLink team is seeking a Senior Software Developer or Manager to serve as a Tech Lead in our Santa Clara team. The NVLink team develops the firmware and network OS (NVOS) for NVLink, NVIDIA’s networking fabric for our datacenter infrastructure. What You Will Be Doing Spearhead the end‑to‑end development and implementation of features that enable customers to configure, install, and resolve issues with NVLink. Serve as the point of contact and own the SDLC for the programs, ensuring high‑quality software deliveries. Define technical direction and quality standards for NVLink features, driving them from concept to production as a hands‑on IC. Collaborate with product, test, applications engineering, production/manufacturing, and partner engineering teams to translate customer issues into concrete product solutions. Implement application flows that build on our networking fabric, supporting our core CSP customer base. Establish guidelines for evaluation, observability, and continuous improvement of our networking infrastructure from manufacturing to production networks. Advocate for AI adoption in software development, testing, and across the development lifecycle. What We Need To See Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. Over 12 years of direct software development experience, with substantial responsibility for complex, customer‑facing systems or platforms. Proven track record as a technical lead, engineering manager, or architect for significant networking and datacenter infrastructure features or products, with clear ownership of both creation and execution of goals. Strong networking acumen, including experience developing or leading firmware and/or OS development of network infrastructure. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical direction across teams while remaining an individual contributor. Hands‑on development experience in embedded C/C++ and Python. Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd Experience as an engineering manager or technical lead driving successful end‑to‑end networking projects, with embedded, RTOS and SDK workflows. Contributions to internal or open‑source networking frameworks, OS tooling, or methodology development. Demonstrated history of mentoring senior engineers and elevating engineering standards around code quality and reliability. Proven track record of tech‑leading engineering across multiple teams. Base salary ranges are $224,000 – $356,500 for Level 5 and $272,000 – $431,250 for Level 6 in USD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Applications are accepted until June 7, 2026.
