This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays a critical role in ensuring a positive patient experience from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients arriving in the Emergency Department Register patients and accurately enter demographic information Verify patient and visitor identity using photo identification and other documentation Verify insurance coverage and collect necessary information Identify patients who may need financial assistance and explain payment options Review and explain consent forms and admissions paperwork Distribute and collect required registration documents Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients, visitors, and clinical staff Maintain accurate records while ensuring patient confidentiality Qualifications Previous patient access, patient registration, medical office, front desk, admissions, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Comfortable interacting with patients during urgent and emergency situations Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Santa Rosa, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
