This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in patient care by supporting both front and back office operations in a dynamic clinical environment. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients, verify insurance information Perform front office duties including answering phones, managing medical records, verifying insurance, collecting copays Room patients, record vital signs, and document chief complaints in the medical record Assist the physician with examinations, procedures, and patient education Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and conduct basic diagnostic tests (EKG, urinalysis, etc.) Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply inventory Handle prior authorizations, prescription requests, and patient follow-up communications Requirements High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred Prior experience in both front and back office medical assistant duties strongly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance verification Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems Phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs, injections, and EKG administration Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting About Us ERASTO GUTIERREZ MD INC is a trusted medical practice serving the Pomona, CA community with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
