Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Telemetry

Location: Warrensville Heights, Ohio

Job Type: Travel Nursing

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift ( NO BENEFITS )
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week

Shift Timing: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Weekly Pay: $2,000–$2,150

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry will provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring and telemetry services. The nurse will assess patient conditions, monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of permanent Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience, strong cardiac monitoring skills, and the ability to recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in an acute-care setting.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs and clinical status.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify abnormal rhythms or changes requiring intervention.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.

• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.

• Document patient assessments, interventions, treatments, and outcomes accurately.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and ongoing care needs.

• Follow infection-control procedures, patient safety protocols, and applicable clinical standards.

• Support continuity of care through effective communication and shift handoffs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience.

• Experience providing care to medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring.

• Ability to monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition.

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active, unrestricted Ohio RN license or an active Compact State RN license in hand.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
