As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and freight operations. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate shipping, receiving, and administrative areas. Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures, including screening incoming and outgoing traffic as required. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, trailers, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
