Job Summary

Spaulding Outpatient Center Framingham has an opening for a full-time speech pathologist. Summary Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and helping prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders.

Essential Functions

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior speech pathologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders in patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Provide therapy to patients with various communication and swallowing disorders.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree Speech Language Pathology required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.

Licenses and Credentials: Speech-language Pathologist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology [CCC-A] - American Speech Language Hearing Association preferred. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology [CCC-SLP] - American Speech Language Hearing Association preferred.

Experience: Speech pathology experience 2-3 years required and Acute hospital experience 2-3 years preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with diagnostic assessments for speech-language. Employee must have strong interpersonal skills. Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures sufficiently to perform clinical services independently. Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology and speech-language pathology scope of practice. Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations.
