Pharmacist Coordinator / Office Pharmacy

A full-time Pharmacist Coordinator opportunity is available in Northern Arkansas, supporting an office pharmacy operation. This role combines prescription verification and dispensing responsibilities with medication-related clinical support and pharmacy business management.

The position offers a four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts. The successful pharmacist will have the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with pharmacy leadership and personnel across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy standards.
• Provide timely and accurate drug information.
• Perform appropriate clinical interventions to help optimize medication therapy.
• Support the day-to-day operations of the employee pharmacy.
• Perform business management responsibilities based on the needs of the pharmacy operation.
• Communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing competing responsibilities.
• Utilize pharmacy computer systems for routine pharmacy department functions.
• Maintain attention to detail while working safely and efficiently in a pharmacy environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Current Arkansas pharmacist license in good standing or eligibility to obtain an Arkansas pharmacist license within 90 days of hire .
• Proven communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail pharmacy management experience.
• Equivalent training may be considered in place of retail management experience.

Work Environment

The position is based in a hospital pharmacy environment that may include emergency pharmacy operations. The role may involve potential exposure to hazardous or toxic substances, including chemotherapeutic/cytotoxic drugs and cleaning solutions.

This position is designated as safety-sensitive under applicable Arkansas law.
