About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer within the Martech team to support enterprise marketing decisioning, workflow automation, and lead the transformation of Martech Stack to an AI native agentic solution. This role is an opportunity to help lead the design, development, and modernization of mission-critical platforms using Pega PRPC, Pega Customer Decision Hub, cloud/on-prem enterprise systems, and modern AI capabilities including Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models, RAG, and AI orchestration frameworks.In this role, you will:Lead design, development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise applications using Pega PRPC / Pega Platform and Pega Customer Decision HubDesign and implement AI and Agentic AI solutions using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG patterns, prompt engineering, semantic search, tool calling, and AI orchestration frameworksBuild agent-based workflows using LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent orchestration patterns to support enterprise automation and intelligent decisioning use casesDevelop RAG-based solutions by integrating enterprise knowledge sources, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval logic, grounding patterns, and response generation workflowsIntegrate Pega, AI agents, LLM services, APIs, data platforms, and enterprise systems using secure REST services, connectors, authentication patterns, and data integration standardsDesign and develop reusable components, backend services, APIs, automation utilities, and intelligent workflows using Python, Java, or equivalent programming languagesImplement AI engineering best practices including prompt management, context handling, model evaluation, output validation, observability, error handling, and human-in-the-loop review patternsTranslate business, decisioning, workflow, and AI automation requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable, and compliant engineering solutionsTroubleshoot complex issues across Pega applications, AI workflows, RAG pipelines, APIs, data integrations, performance, security, and infrastructure layersPartner with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, risk, compliance, cybersecurity, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure and governed technology solutionsEnsure solutions align with Pega guardrails, AI governance expectations, secure coding practices, audit requirements, risk controls, and change-management standardsMentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering best practices across all delivery, AI engineering, and enterprise integration workstreamsAct as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groupsLead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinkingTranslate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and as an expert advisor to leadershipRequired Qualifications:7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years with Pega PRPC / Pega Platform2+ years with Pega Customer Decision Hub1+ year experience with AI, Agentic AI, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, LangGraph, LangChain, semantic search, prompt engineering, or AI orchestration frameworks3+ years coding experience in Python, Java, or equivalent programming languagesDesired Qualifications:Pega Lead System Architect certificationGCP, AWS, or Azure beginner/foundational certificationExperience building AI-enabled solutions using RAG, LangGraph, LangChain, vector databases, agent workflows, tool calling, or human-in-the-loop patternsExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, version control, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Helm, or equivalent platformsExperience working in financial services,
