HEAD GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH

Position: Head Girls Basketball Coach (Supplemental Position) – St. Augustine High School, St. Augustine, FL. Term: Fiscal Year 2026‑2027 (tentative start date October 1 2026). Salary: $4,000.00 (Supplemental Position). Hours per day: not specified. Months per year: 1. Days per year: not specified. Responsibilities Manage the girls’ basketball program, including overall strategy and development. Plan, conduct, and evaluate practices and games. Schedule games, travel, and related logistics. Lead and develop student‑athletes’ leadership skills. Hire, coach, and manage assistant coaches and support staff. Oversee program budgeting, equipment, and compliance with school and league regulations. Collaborate with school administrators, Athletic Department, and community partners. Maintain positive relationships with parents, coaches, and alumni. Qualifications / Requirements Must hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate or a valid Athletic Coaching Certificate issued by the Florida Department of Education. Completion of required athletic coaching courses: First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion in Sports (NFHS courses), AED training, and Florida Department of Education Certificate (Athletic Coaching). Demonstrated experience in coaching basketball at the high‑school level. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Commitment to student‑athlete safety and educational development.
