SALARY: $23.64 - $26.07 Hourly

How You Will Make an Impact

• Provide administrative and clerical support to Human Services staff, supervisors, and management for efficient departmental operations.
• Serve as the first contact for clients and the public, answering inquiries in person, by phone, and electronically.
• Offer guidance and support for County assistance applications and answer policy questions.
• Manage medical records, enter data, and support administrative processes to ensure client confidentiality.
• Update digital and hardcopy records, forms, and correspondence to meet professional and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate meeting schedules and prepare meeting minutes.
• Manage office supplies, equipment, and process vouchers, invoices, and purchase orders.
• Screen and direct mail; organize outgoing mail.
• Track and follow up on activities to meet deadlines and complete procedures.

What You Need to Succeed in this Role

High school diploma or GED and one year of increasingly responsible clerical experience. Comparable combination of education and experience may be considered. Must successfully complete pre-employment background process.

Ability to perform a variety of moderately complex secretarial and clerical tasks while exercising independent judgment. Effective verbal and written communication. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Willingness to participate in the agency, demonstrate team participation and a workplace philosophy that enriches staff’s ability to reach goals, and provide a high level of customer service. Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, other agencies, and the public. Present a professional appearance and communicate with others in a respectful and approachable way.
